Bourbon BBQ Cheeseburger

First, prepare the Bourbon BBQ Sauce: Combine 1 cup Ketchup, 1/4 cup Honey, 1/4 cup Molasses, 1/4 cup Apple Cider Vinegar, 1 cup Brown Sugar, 1 tbsp Worcestershire Sauce, 2 tbsp of your favorite seasoning, and 1/4 cup of your favorite Bourbon in a saucepan. Simmer on low heat until the sauce is slightly thickened, noting that it will thicken further as it cools. Next, break up 1lb of ground beef and season it with your favorite seasoning. Form the seasoned beef into two 1/2lb patties. Preheat your grill to high. Grill the burger patties until they reach your desired internal temperature. Add cheese to the patties when they are almost finished grilling and close the grill lid to melt the cheese. Finally, assemble your cheeseburger: Start with a toasted burger bun, spread Bourbon BBQ Sauce, add lettuce, then one 1/2lb burger patty, crispy onions, and finish with more Bourbon BBQ sauce. Enjoy!
