Smoked Party Ribs w/ Old Fashioned BBQ Sauce
15 mins prepServes 4
Delicious smoked baby back ribs glazed with a homemade Old Fashioned BBQ Sauce. This recipe guides you through smoking the ribs on a gas grill with charcoal and making a bourbon-infused sauce from scratch.
1. Remove the membrane from a rack of Baby Back Ribs and slice into individual ribs.
2. Season with your favorite seasoning.
3. Using a Charcoal Tray on a gas grill, add charcoal to the center. Close and set the 2 middle burners to high, heat for 20 minutes to start the charcoal.
4. Add Smoking Chunks to the charcoal and add your ribs to the grates.
5. Close and smoke at 300°F for 1 hour or until at least 165°F internal temperature.
6. While the ribs smoke, make your Old Fashioned BBQ Sauce using the Side Burner:
Combine 2 cups Ketchup, 1/2 cup Honey, 1/2 cup Molasses, 1/2 cup Apple Cider Vinegar, 1 1/2 cups Brown Sugar, 3/4 cup Bourbon, 5 dashes Aromatic Bitters, 5 dashes Orange Bitters, 2 tbsp Maraschino Cherry Syrup, and 1 tbsp Orange Zest.
Simmer on low until thickened.
7. Remove your ribs from the grill and add to a High Heat H-Pan with Butter, Brown Sugar, and the Old Fashioned BBQ Sauce. Mix, cover, and return to the grill for 30 minutes or until the ribs reach around 205°F internal temperature.
8. Remove, let cool slightly, and Enjoy!
